Creativity Circus for outdoor wellbeing

"Creativity Circus for outdoor wellbeing" is an Erasmus Plus Project, KA210 in Adult Sector - project n. 2022-1-BE01-KA210-ADU-000084187.

Objectives

The objectives of the project strategically address the impacts of COVID-19 by fostering creativity and facilitating open leisure activities in public spaces. Our aim is to train the staff of partner organizations to act as catalysts, enhancing the lives of disadvantaged adults. Specifically, the project will provide training, focused on well-being, mental health, sustainability, and environmental protection, to 80 adults across varied contexts. A non-formal learning method, rooted in circus traditions and outdoor creativity, will be developed and implemented. Furthermore, the project endeavors to promote healthy lifestyles for adults, transcending social and economic barriers, bolster the competencies of partner organizations, and establish a best practice model that is replicable and applicable at European, national, and regional levels for addressing the observed reduction in adult participation in training.

Implementation

Initially, the consortium convened in Belgium at the inception of the project, with the intent to meticulously develop the schedule and to codify administrative and financial procedures, as well as to establish a precise timetable for the subsequent activities.
Subsequently, a week-long training session was implemented, also in Belgium, with the objective of training two facilitators from each participating country.
Thereafter, each country judiciously integrated an activity into its respective context, targeting the utilization of circus arts and creative expression as mediums to enhance communal living and interaction.
In conclusion, the Belgian partner orchestrated a culminating event within its local community, centered around the circus arts, thereby encapsulating the essence and objectives of our collective efforts.
